We loved celebrating Christmas as a class ! For our Christmas concert we travelled to Wales and sang a Welsh song. We also dressed up and showed off our amazing smiles !!

When we came back to school we celebrated New Years together

We love reading in class and sharing our books with eachother

Spring term 1

This term our topic is "Once upon a time" - We can't wait to do lots of fun activities.

We made a mindmap of the stories we know already and would like to read again

Week 1 - Three Little Pigs
We read the story of the three little pigs as a class. One activity we all took part in is to use playdough to build the correct house for each pig.

Week 2 - Three Little Pigs
We used hay, sticks and bricks and houses to protect the pigs from the wolf.

Week 3 - Rainbow fish
We learnt all about the rainbow and the importance of being kind to our friends. To finish the week off, we made a stainglass window fish scene for all the other classes to see during break time

Week 4 - The Gingerbread man

Ginger bread Man story

Lunar New year
We celebrated Lunar New year as a class and made a yummy stir-fry to share as a family . We also learnt what "year of the ..." animals we are. In Dosbarth Arian we have 5 horses, 2 goats , 2 monkeys and 1 dog

Week 5 - Jack and the beanstalk

We teamed up with gwyrdd and used enfys to make the giant a plate of food - we worked on cutting "big and small" and "thin and thick"

Week 6 - Valentine's Day

This week we learnt about St Valentines and made some yummy chocolates and a card to give to someone we love.

Week 7 - Eisteddfod prep and catch up week

To celebrate the last day of the "Once Upon a Time" topic , we all dressed up as our favourite characters - Don't we look amazing !!
